These easy mummy pigs in a blanket with honey mustard are a fun and delicious Halloween snack. Made with crescent rolls and cocktail sausages, they’re quick to prepare and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 package (12-14 oz) Lit’l Smokies or mini cocktail sausages
  • Yellow mustard for the eyes
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Make the honey mustard dip: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, and smoked paprika if using. Set aside.
  3. Open the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 4-5 thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.
  4. Wrap each cocktail sausage with 2-3 dough strips, leaving a small gap near the top for the eyes. Overlap strips slightly and do not wrap too tightly.
  5. Place the wrapped mummies on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch between each.
  6. Optional: For a golden finish, whisk one egg with a tablespoon of water and brush over the tops.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let the mummies cool for about 2 minutes, then dip a toothpick into yellow mustard and dot two tiny eyes onto each mummy.
  9. Serve immediately with the honey mustard dip.

Notes

Keep the dough cold for best results. Don’t over-wrap the sausages; 2-3 strips per mummy is plenty. For a golden finish, brush with egg wash before baking. The honey mustard dip can be made up to 3 days in advance.
