A quick and easy homemade version of the iconic Texas Roadhouse butter spread with cinnamon honey, perfect for spreading on rolls, pancakes, or toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Soften the butter by letting 1 cup (225g) of unsalted butter sit at room temperature until soft but not melted (about 30 minutes).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with 1 tablespoon powdered sugar using a hand or stand mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until creamy and lightened.
  3. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and pour 2 tablespoons honey. Mix on low speed to combine, then increase to medium and beat for another 1-2 minutes until smooth and slightly fluffy.
  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt. Beat briefly just to combine. Taste and adjust cinnamon or honey if needed.
  5. Spoon the butter into an airtight container or small jar. Chill for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld and the butter firm up slightly. Serve slightly chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Use softened butter for best texture. Chill the butter for at least 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld. Adjust cinnamon and honey to taste. For dairy-free, use plant-based butter and agave or maple syrup instead of honey. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
