A festive and spicy buffalo chicken dip featuring a creamy cheese base and a striking dark chocolate spiderweb topping, perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 blocks (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, blue cheese dressing, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes until hot and bubbling around the edges.
  5. While the dip bakes, microwave chocolate chips in 15-second intervals, stirring until melted. Stir in vegetable or coconut oil to thin.
  6. Remove dip from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Drizzle melted chocolate over the top in a zigzag pattern.
  8. Use a toothpick to drag from the center outward in a spiral motion to create a spiderweb effect.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately with tortilla chips or vegetable sticks.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. The chocolate web should be added right before serving. If making ahead, assemble the dip and refrigerate, adding 5-10 minutes to baking time if cold. Serve with gluten-free chips if necessary.
