A quick and easy Halloween appetizer featuring a savory cream cheese and cheddar dip topped with a white chocolate spider web and pretzel legs. No baking required, making it perfect for last-minute parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese (full-fat, softened)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (full-fat)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1216 pretzel twists or sticks

Instructions

  1. Cut cream cheese into cubes and microwave on high for 30 seconds, then let sit for 30 seconds to soften. Do not melt completely.
  2. Add sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into a shallow serving dish, creating a slight depression in the center.
  4. Place white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small microwave-safe cup. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, and microwave for another 15 seconds if needed until smooth.
  5. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the dip in concentric circles, then drag a spoon from the center to the edge to create web lines.
  6. Push pretzel twists into the dip around the edge of the web to resemble spider legs.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to set the chocolate and firm the dip before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened but not melted to prevent separation. White chocolate burns easily, so heat in short bursts. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pretzels. For a dairy-free version, use vegan cream cheese and white chocolate chips. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; do not freeze. Add pretzels just before serving to prevent sogginess.
