A quick, wholesome snack featuring thinly sliced apples drizzled with almond butter and topped with crunchy granola, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (preferably Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 1/4 cup almond butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup granola (toasted with oats and nuts)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry 2 large apples. Using a sharp knife, slice them into thin rounds about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Place the apple slices in a medium bowl and drizzle with 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice. Toss gently to coat.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat 1/4 cup almond butter for 15-20 seconds until slightly softened. Stir well. Mix in 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if using.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on a serving platter, overlapping slightly like nachos.
  5. Drizzle the warmed almond butter over the apples in a zigzag pattern.
  6. Sprinkle 1/2 cup granola evenly over the top, followed by 1 tablespoon chia or flaxseeds if desired.
  7. Lightly dust 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon over the entire dish.
  8. Serve immediately. If holding longer, cover loosely and refrigerate up to 1 hour.

Notes

Warm almond butter gently to achieve a drizzle-friendly consistency. Thin apple slices keep the snack light and crunchy. Toss apple slices with lemon juice immediately to prevent browning. Assemble just before serving for best texture.
