These Easy Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Meatballs are sweet, savory, and incredibly easy to make with just five ingredients. Perfect for busy weeknights or crowd-pleasing appetizers, they deliver a rich, sticky glaze that tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds frozen fully cooked meatballs
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, low-sodium soy sauce, ketchup, and minced garlic until smooth.
  2. Place the frozen meatballs directly into the slow cooker in an even layer.
  3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and gently toss to coat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Stir gently after about 2 hours.
  5. Optional: About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook uncovered for the remaining time to thicken the sauce.
  6. Check that meatballs are heated through (165°F / 74°C). Serve immediately.

Notes

Use low-sodium soy sauce to control saltiness. For a thicker glaze, add the cornstarch slurry in the last 30 minutes. Homemade meatballs require shorter cooking time (2-3 hours on low). The sauce will be thin initially but thickens as it cooks.
