These Easy Halloween Mummy Meatballs with Marinara Dip are a fun, kid-approved weeknight dinner that comes together in just 25 minutes. Wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough with silly mustard eyes, they’re perfect for Halloween parties or any night you want a playful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 frozen or homemade meatballs (about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter)
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Mustard or ketchup for the eyes
  • Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
  • Optional: Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. If using frozen meatballs, let them sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean cutting board. Press the seams together gently to create one large rectangle.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the dough lengthwise into strips about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide.
  4. Take one meatball and place it at the end of a dough strip. Wrap the strip around the meatball, overlapping slightly, leaving a small gap near the top for the eyes. Press the end to seal. Repeat with all meatballs.
  5. Place the wrapped meatballs on the baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and puffy and the meatballs are heated through.
  7. While the meatballs bake, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat or in the microwave.
  8. As soon as the meatballs come out of the oven, use a toothpick or knife tip to add two tiny dots of mustard or ketchup to the exposed meatball area for eyes.
  9. Serve immediately, arranged around a bowl of warm marinara dip. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat crescent roll dough. If dough tears while wrapping, press it back together—it will seal as it bakes. To make ahead, wrap meatballs up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate; bake just before serving. For an air fryer version, cook at 350°F for 8-10 minutes.
