This easy 5-minute charcuterie board for two is the low-stakes, high-reward version of a classic date night snack. It’s about connection, not perfection, with a curated balance of salty, sweet, creamy, and crunchy elements.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Genoa Salami, sliced into thin rounds
  • 4 oz Brie
  • 4 oz Sharp Cheddar, aged at least 6 months
  • 1/4 cup Fig Jam or Honey
  • 1/4 cup Marcona Almonds or Toasted Walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Grapes or Dried Apricots
  • Olives (optional, such as Castelvetrano or Kalamata)
  • 1 small Baguette or 8–10 Good Quality Crackers
  • Optional: Cornichons or Pickled Vegetables

Instructions

  1. Set the Stage (1 minute): Grab your board or plate. Place two small bowls in opposite corners. Fill one with fig jam or honey, and the other with olives (if using).
  2. Place the Cheeses (1 minute): Put the brie and sharp cheddar on the board, spaced apart. Place brie near the jam bowl.
  3. Arrange the Meats (1 minute): Fold prosciutto slices into loose ribbons or waves. Place salami slices in a small, overlapping fan next to the prosciutto.
  4. Add the Fruits and Nuts (1 minute): Scatter grapes or dried apricots in a small cluster. Sprinkle almonds or walnuts in another empty spot.
  5. Fill the Gaps with Crackers/Bread (1 minute): Arrange baguette slices or crackers around the edges, filling bare spots. Tuck them halfway under cheese or meat.
  6. Final Touches (30 seconds): Step back and add more crackers or grapes if there’s a big empty spot. Serve immediately.

Notes

Let cheeses sit out for 15 minutes before serving for best flavor and creaminess. For salami, prefer deli-counter sliced over pre-packaged. Don’t overcrowd the board; leave negative space. Keep crackers on the outer edge away from wet ingredients to prevent sogginess.
