A quick and healthy weeknight dinner featuring salmon fillets with shatteringly crisp skin and tender, juicy flesh, coated in a rich lemon garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each, skin-on)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large lemon (juice and zest)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced finely
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and Old Bay seasoning until uniform.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Lightly brush the air fryer basket with olive oil.
  4. Place salmon fillets in the basket skin-side down without overlapping. Spoon the lemon garlic butter mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
  5. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from air fryer, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure salmon is patted very dry before cooking to maximize crispiness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Salmon continues to cook slightly after removal due to residual heat, so pull it when slightly underdone in the center. Garlic can burn at high temperatures; tent with foil if browning too quickly.
