A colorful, flavorful snack board perfect for movie nights or parties, featuring a mix of cheeses, meats, dips, fresh veggies, and crunchy elements. Easy to assemble and customizable for various dietary needs.

Ingredients

  • Sharp Cheddar, cubed
  • Spicy Pepper Jack, cubed
  • Soft Brie, sliced
  • Smoked Bacon, cooked and chopped
  • Salami or Pepperoni slices
  • Classic Hummus
  • Guacamole or sliced avocado (optional)
  • Mustard or honey mustard
  • Mixed Nuts (roasted almonds, cashews, or walnuts)
  • Pretzels or breadsticks
  • Popcorn
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Baby Carrots
  • Cucumber slices
  • Seedless Grapes or Apple slices
  • Dill Pickles or pickled jalapeños
  • Olives (black or green, pitted)
  • Sun-dried Tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Cook and prep the meats (10 minutes): Fry the bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels and chop into bite-sized pieces. Slice the salami or pepperoni thinly. While the bacon is cooking, prep the cheeses and veggies.
  2. Prepare cheeses and veggies (10 minutes): Cube the cheddar and pepper jack, slice the brie into small wedges, and arrange them on a cutting board. Rinse and dry the cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, cucumber slices, and grapes. If using apples, slice them thinly and toss with a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Arrange the dips and spreads: Spoon the hummus and guacamole into small bowls or ramekins. Place mustard or honey mustard in another small bowl for variety.
  4. Build the snack board (5-10 minutes): Start by placing the bowls of dips evenly spaced on the board. Add clusters of cheeses around them, then scatter the meats in groups. Fill in gaps with fresh veggies, fruits, nuts, olives, and pretzels. Add popcorn in a corner or in a small bowl to keep it crisp.
  5. Final touches: Sprinkle chopped bacon over the cheese clusters or dips for a pop of smoky flavor. Add pickles or pickled jalapeños near the meats for easy access. Use toothpicks or small forks if you like.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the board to allow easy grabbing. Prep cheeses and veggies a few hours ahead but assemble just before serving for freshness. Keep cold items chilled until serving. Use separate bowls for olives and nuts to prevent spills. For gluten-free, use gluten-free pretzels or crackers. For dairy-free, swap cheeses with extra hummus and guacamole.
