A quick and easy frozen lemonade slushie recipe with a playful gummy bear garnish, perfect for cooling down on hot summer days and adding fun to any party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (480 ml) cold water
  • 4 cups (about 900 g) ice cubes
  • 1 cup (about 140 g) gummy bears
  • Optional: a few sprigs fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons using a citrus juicer to extract about 1 cup (240 ml) of fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove pulp and seeds for a smoother slushie.
  2. In a large bowl or pitcher, combine the lemon juice with 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar and 2 cups (480 ml) cold water. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  3. If your blender struggles with whole ice cubes, crush 4 cups (900 g) of ice in advance using a rolling pin or ice crusher.
  4. Pour the lemon mixture and ice cubes into the blender. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds, or until you get a thick, slushie consistency. If the slushie is too watery, add more ice and blend again. If too thick, add a splash of water.
  5. Pour the frozen lemonade slushie into serving cups or mason jars, filling about 3/4 full.
  6. Thread 5-6 gummy bears on a small skewer or cocktail pick, then place it on top of each cup. For an extra touch, tuck a fresh mint sprig beside the gummy bears.
  7. Serve immediately. Keep extras in the freezer and stir before serving.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Crush ice before blending if your blender is not powerful. Pulse blending in short bursts prevents melting ice and keeps texture fluffy. Thread gummy bears on skewers to prevent sinking and melting. Adjust sugar to taste depending on lemon tartness. Store leftovers in airtight container in freezer up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
