A quick and easy spring-inspired grazing board featuring creamy brie, sweet fig jam, crisp crackers, fresh fruit, nuts, and edible flowers for a beautiful and delicious snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel Brie cheese (about 8 oz / 225 g), soft and creamy
  • ½ cup (120 ml) fig jam, chunky variety with real figs
  • 2 cups (about 60 g) mixed crackers (water crackers and multigrain crackers)
  • ¼ cup (10 g) edible flowers (nasturtiums, pansies, or violets), organically grown and safe to eat
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh fruit (sliced strawberries or green grapes)
  • ¼ cup (30 g) toasted nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey, optional drizzle
  • Sprigs of fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Remove the brie from the fridge about 20 minutes before assembling to let it soften slightly. If short on time, place it in a warm spot for 10 minutes.
  2. Lay out the crackers evenly on one side of the serving board, alternating types for visual interest.
  3. Spoon the fig jam into a small bowl and place it near the brie for easy spreading.
  4. Set the softened brie slightly off-center on the board. Optionally, score the top rind in a crisscross pattern.
  5. Using kitchen tongs or tweezers, gently scatter the edible flowers over and around the brie and crackers.
  6. Arrange sliced strawberries or grapes in small clusters around the board.
  7. Toast almonds or walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until fragrant, then scatter them over the board.
  8. Just before serving, drizzle about 1 tablespoon of honey over the brie and fruit for extra sweetness.
  9. Tuck small sprigs of thyme or rosemary around the edges of the board for aroma and color.
  10. Fill any gaps with additional crackers or flowers to balance the composition.
